What can you expect as a client of Magnolia Naturopathy?

At Magnolia Naturopathy, we pride ourselves on providing a high-quality service to our clients to help them reach their health goals and live their best life.

Upon booking your initial consultation:

  1. Once you have booked your initial naturopathy consultation, we will email a link to an online intake/consent form for you to complete. This form, which takes approximately 10-15 minutes to complete, gives Iwa the opportunity to prepare for your consultation. Providing this information ensures that your consultation runs as smoothly as possible, and that you receive the best possible treatment. The second part of this form is the client consent. It must be noted that this form must be returned as soon as possible prior to the consultation, as without it, the consultation cannot proceed.

  2. You will be emailed an invoice to enable you to prepay the consultation fee. The consultation fee must be paid in full by close of business the day before your consultation day. Failure to prepay the consultation in this timeframe may result in the cancellation of your appointment. Appointments may be rescheduled no less than 24 hours before the consultation day, and the prepaid consultation fee will be carried over to the rescheduled appointment. (Rescheduling or cancelling an appointment within 24 hours will incur a $50 late cancellation fee).

  3. You will be emailed a Coviu link, which enables you to have an online consultation with Iwa. Please retain this link as you will use the same link for all your consultations. If you prefer, phone consultations are also available.

  4. If you have copies of any recent test results such as blood tests, please email these to Iwa prior to your consultation.

On the day of the consultation:

  1. For Coviu (online) consultations, please ensure you are online and click the Coviu link to enter the online waiting area a few minutes prior to your consultation start time. Iwa will answer to start the video consultation at your scheduled consultation time. For phone consultations, Iwa will call your preferred contact number at your scheduled consultation time.

  2. At your initial consultation, Iwa will take a thorough case history. You can expect to be asked questions about your presenting complaints, other body systems, diet, lifestyle, personal and family health history. Naturopathy looks at the whole person, therefore it is imperative that Iwa gains a thorough understanding of each client’s individual picture of their overall health. If any testing is required (eg blood tests, stool tests), this will be discussed with you. Towards the end of your consultation, Iwa will take a few minutes to put together an individualized treatment plan and prescription which may include any of the following (most often a combination): herbal medicine, nutritional supplements, dietary and lifestyle modification. The prescription will generally include enough product prescribed to get you through until the next consultation, and often some products will last you longer than this. Iwa will then quote the cost of the products and process the payment for your products plus postage. Your next appointment will be booked, and your prescribed products will be sent to you via Australia Post Express Post. The tracking number will be emailed to you, along with a copy of your prescription.

Please note: All products dispensed at Magnolia Naturopathy are high quality practitioner-only products, and it is imperative that these are not replaced with over the counter products (such as those from health food stores or pharmacies, for example) at any time during the treatment process, and particularly without a discussion with your practitioner. The reason for this is that quality of products from outside sources varies considerably, and will frequently impede the progress of the treatment..


After your consultation:

  1. Please commence taking your prescription products as per your prescription, as soon as you have received your parcel. It is important that products are taken exactly as prescribed, in order to maximise your treatment outcomes. If you experience any issues or have any questions, please contact us as soon as possible.

  2. As you approach subsequent consultations, you will again be required to prepay your consultation by close of business the day before your consultation day. Subsequent consultations ensure that you stay on track to reaching your health goals. It must be noted that there are no quick fixes when it comes to natural health, and that healing takes time. Iwa will endeavour to give you an estimate of the amount of time it might take in order to achieve your health goals, as this varies from person to person, and depending on what we are treating.
